It's been a while...

Oh boy, I've been BAD!!!!!!!! It has been almost a year since I updated this blog...How do I catch anyone up on our lives after a year????

Lance has continued to grow and is happy and healthy (with the exception of a few ear infections and constant runny nose). Rory is becoming a beautiful little girl who absolutely loves dressing up and jewelry, any and all!

In November we took the family to Walt Disney World because Fred's boat dealer awards were there. The dealership had a great night and we had a great time! Rory had to get her picture with all of the princesses and loved riding Goofy's roller coaster.

This year has already been eventful with Rory's 5th birthday, Lance's 1st birthday and signing Rory up for Kindergarten. Can you believe it????

Rory's 5th birthday was a tea party and we had a blast. There were 9 girls all dressed up and loving their tea.

Lance's first birthday was a family affair and with our families it was a huge event with 10 adults and 9 kids. Oh yeah, can't forget there were 5 dogs as well. It was a house full but we had a great time. The following day was Easter so it was big fun for all of us.

I forgot to mention that Lance LOVES to eat...and he loves Peeps!
Fred continues to train for his 3rd mini-marathon. He's doing a great job and I can't wait to see him finish the Indianapolis 500 festival mini-marathon on May 8th.

Let's hope I'm able to keep this updated a little better this year!

Lance's cute pose

I had to share these pictures from yesterday...my little boy is getting bigger...

He weighed in at 9 lbs 6 ozs at the doctor's office on Wednesday and has a clean bill of health.

Easter

We had a great Easter the weekend after Lance was born. Rory had a GREAT time looking for eggs. The Easter Bunny hid eggs all over the yard...Rory was so excited and yelled with every egg she found. The bunny left a great basket of goods for Rory and Lance.

We also had a great dinner with deserts made by Rory and Grandma.

Wow, do we have a lot to catch up on...

It's been a long time since I updated this blog and I'm sorry for that. It's been a long couple months but things have been going really well. The last several months of pregnancy were tiring but good. I found my perfect combo of drugs to keep the nausea at bay, just tired all the time.

Rory celebrated her fourth birthday in March and we celebrated her birthday at the L.S. Ayres tea room at the Indiana State Museum. Rory was such a little lady in her dress and drinking her tea. We had a very good time.

I had a scheduled c-section on Monday April 6th. Lance was born at 7:55 am and weighed in at 7 lbs 6 ozs and was 19 1/2" long. He's a cute little guy. We are all very happy.

Rory is a great big sister and she loves her baby brother. She loves showing him off at school, she's very proud.

Shawn's heading back to Kosovo

We were surprised to learn that our great friend Shawn Jones was stationed in Indiana at Camp Atterbury for part of December and January. We weren't able to see him while he was in training but we were able to make it down for the deployment ceremony yesterday afternoon. He headed off to Germany early this morning and will head to Kosovo after that. He told us that he hopes they'll be home by Thanksgiving with another layover here in Indiana. So hopefully we'll get to see him again when he comes back to the states. We wish him, and the rest of the soldiers heading over, all the best!

28 Weeks-11 more to go

We had another doctor's appointment and ultrasound yesterday. The spot in the heart looks a lot better and we're pretty sure it's nothing, so we're happy. During the ultrasound we were able to see the baby moving his lips and yawn. The ultrasound was picking up on our excitement and decided to switch the ultrasound machine to 3D. It was so neat to actually "see" the baby. He's weighing in at 2 lbs. 7 oz. and his heart rate is a whopping 154 bpm. We're now down to appointments every 2 weeks. We're going to have a plain old boring checkup at 30 weeks and then two weeks after that we'll have another ultrasound (they said we'd do the 3D again).
I was told that the major growth spurt will happen in the next two weeks, so I need to start watching what I eat and start walking on the treadmill, I don't need to help out the weight gain. :)

Hanging out at Jam Fest cheerleading comp.

Our friends from southern Indiana were up this past weekend for their daughter's cheerleading competition. Rory wanted to watch so we hooked up on Sunday to watch Maddie. Rory loved it and has now stated that she wants to be a cheerleader. Maddie's squad placed 4th in their division, they were great!

Rory's my big girl!
